Genesis Chapter 27
We want it....
And we want it NOW!

I finally realized my parents favored my twin brother. It hit me when they asked me to blow up balloons for his surprise birthday party.
In this chapter of Genesis, we can see examples of churches today.
Easu, tired of waiting for the promise, seeks worldly gain.
Jacob, the swindler, falsely telling his father Isaac he was someone he wasn't to receive the blessing.
Some churches, like Esau, do not seem to want to wait for spiritual blessings and are swindled by those offering earthly gain. People are wanting what can be found in this world, being satisfied with what this world can offer. They grow tired of living life to be a blessing to others. And fall under bondage to the deceivers.
Others like Jacob have tried to receive the blessing by living a life of deceit. On Sunday they are pretending to be someone they aren't. Thinking they can receive the blessing from the Father.
I know you are thinking Jacob became one of the patriarchs of Israel, the chosen people of God. But this didn't happen until after Jacob wrestled with God. After this Jacob was a changed man. Even his name was changed to Israel.
God is calling His people back to Himself. People are growing tired of pretending to live in victory. The emptiness of living without God is being felt by more and more of God's people.
God knows you better than you know yourself. Kittenfishing doesn't work with God.
Lord, I thought the things of this world would satisfy me, fulfill me. I am so empty without you. I want to feel your power on me again. I want you leading me. Carry me into the victory that only comes by following you. I am reclaiming God's purpose for my life and I am reclaiming the power from God to accomplish it.
